Index: ifIndex

The SONET/SDH Medium table.

from IF-MIB

ifIndex

InterfaceIndexA unique value, greater than zero, for each interface or interface sub-layer in the managed system. It is recommended that values are assigned contiguously starting from 1. The value for each interface sub-layer must remain constant at least from one re-initialization of the entity's network management system to the next re-initialization. (1..2147483647) · Integer32 · hint d

A unique value, greater than zero, for each interface. It is recommended that values are assigned contiguously starting from 1. The value for each interface sub-layer must remain constant at least from one re-initialization of the entity's network management system to the next re- initialization.

sonetMediumType

1.3.6.1.2.1.10.39.1.1.1.1.1

INTEGER1 = sonet2 = sdh · Integer32

This variable identifies whether a SONET or a SDH signal is used across this interface.

sonetMediumTimeElapsed

1.3.6.1.2.1.10.39.1.1.1.1.2

Integer32 (1..900)

The number of seconds, including partial seconds, that have elapsed since the beginning of the current measurement period. If, for some reason, such as an adjustment in the system's time-of-day clock, the current interval exceeds the maximum value, the agent will return the maximum value.

sonetMediumValidIntervals

1.3.6.1.2.1.10.39.1.1.1.1.3

Integer32 (0..96)

The number of previous 15-minute intervals for which data was collected. A SONET/SDH interface must be capable of supporting at least n intervals. The minimum value of n is 4. The default of n is 32. The maximum value of n is 96. The value will be <n> unless the measurement was (re-)started within the last (<n>*15) minutes, in which case the value will be the number of complete 15 minute intervals for which the agent has at least some data. In certain cases (e.g., in the case where the agent is a proxy) it is possible that some intervals are unavailable. In this case, this interval is the maximum interval number for which data is available.

sonetMediumLineCoding

1.3.6.1.2.1.10.39.1.1.1.1.4

INTEGER1 = sonetMediumOther2 = sonetMediumB3ZS3 = sonetMediumCMI4 = sonetMediumNRZ5 = sonetMediumRZ · Integer32

This variable describes the line coding for this interface. The B3ZS and CMI are used for electrical SONET/SDH signals (STS-1 and STS-3). The Non-Return to Zero (NRZ) and the Return to Zero are used for optical SONET/SDH signals.

sonetMediumLineType

1.3.6.1.2.1.10.39.1.1.1.1.5

INTEGER1 = sonetOther2 = sonetShortSingleMode3 = sonetLongSingleMode4 = sonetMultiMode5 = sonetCoax6 = sonetUTP · Integer32

This variable describes the line type for this interface. The line types are Short and Long Range Single Mode fiber or Multi-Mode fiber interfaces, and coax and UTP for electrical interfaces. The value sonetOther should be used when the Line Type is not one of the listed values.

sonetMediumCircuitIdentifier

1.3.6.1.2.1.10.39.1.1.1.1.6

DisplayStringRepresents textual information taken from the NVT ASCII character set, as defined in pages 4, 10-11 of RFC 854. To summarize RFC 854, the NVT ASCII repertoire specifies: - the use of character codes 0-127 (decimal) - the graphics characters (32-126) are interpreted as US ASCII - NUL, LF, CR, BEL, BS, HT, VT and FF have the special meanings specified in RFC 854 - the other 25 codes have no standard interpretation - the sequence 'CR LF' means newline - the sequence 'CR NUL' means carriage-return - an 'LF' not preceded by a 'CR' means moving to the same column on the next line. - the sequence 'CR x' for any x other than LF or NUL is illegal. (Note that this also means that a string may end with either 'CR LF' or 'CR NUL', but not with CR.) Any object defined using this syntax may not exceed 255 characters in length. SIZE (0..255) · OCTET STRING · hint 255a

This variable contains the transmission vendor's circuit identifier, for the purpose of facilitating troubleshooting. Note that the circuit identifier, if available, is also represented by ifPhysAddress.

sonetMediumInvalidIntervals

1.3.6.1.2.1.10.39.1.1.1.1.7

Integer32 (0..96)

The number of intervals in the range from 0 to sonetMediumValidIntervals for which no data is available. This object will typically be zero except in cases where the data for some intervals are not available (e.g., in proxy situations).

sonetMediumLoopbackConfig

1.3.6.1.2.1.10.39.1.1.1.1.8

BITS

The current loopback state of the SONET/SDH interface. The values mean: sonetNoLoop Not in the loopback state. A device that is not capable of performing a loopback on this interface shall always return this value. sonetFacilityLoop The received signal at this interface is looped back out through the corresponding transmitter in the return direction. sonetTerminalLoop The signal that is about to be transmitted is connected to the associated incoming receiver. sonetOtherLoop Loopbacks that are not defined here.

PerfCurrentCountA counter associated with a performance measurement in a current 15 minute measurement interval. The value of this counter starts from zero and is increased when associated events occur, until the end of the 15 minute interval. At that time the value of the counter is stored in the first 15 minute history interval, and the CurrentCount is restarted at zero. In the case where the agent has no valid data available for the current interval the corresponding object instance is not available and upon a retrieval request a corresponding error message shall be returned to indicate that this instance does not exist (for example, a noSuchName error for SNMPv1 and a noSuchInstance for SNMPv2 GET operation). · Gauge32
